Jo's works from her little boatyard studio on the River Dart, South Devon. Inspired by the coastline.. textures & colours, & Jo's love of seahorses. Jo is self taught, art has been a passion all of her life. Heavily influenced by long periods of her childhood spent in California (hummingbirds in particular).

 

Everything became clear for Jo when she moved to Devon from Surrey 15 years ago. Years of buying & selling vintage clothes & so much beautiful old jewellery that wasn't complete enough to wear brought Jo to start repurposing it. 

Beachcombing started looking for sea glass to create with, & the name 'Barefoot Beachcomber' came from a journalist who wrote Jo's first magazine feature back in 2013 in Country Homes & Interiors.
